How do I apply quotations?

Will the lettering adhere to any surface? The letters are made of thin material similar to stickers and they need some surface to stick. Stucco, brick and some wallpaper are too uneven. The "orange peel" or knockdown walls seem to work fine if they're not too lumpy. The letters work great on windows mirrors, painted walls, wood and metal. Not all wallpapers are created equal. Some have better surfaces than others for our words. The same with paint. If the paint has been applied over a primer and is clean and smooth you shouldn't have any problem removing them. If you are applying Wall Words to a freshly painted surface, wait at least 3 weeks   for the paint to dry and cure completely before applying Wall Words. A primer coat under your paint will help it stick better.

How do you take the lettering off?
When you're ready for a new quote or you just want to remove your quote, you can use a pair of tweezers to pull them off. If they have been up for a couple of years they sometimes harden a little. Lightly heat them up with a hair dyer then they should peel off easily. There may be a slight sticky residue that will come off with rubbing alcohol or "Goo-be Gone"

What if I don't like the color, style or length when I receive the letters?
If you're unhappy with your letters, you can return them for a full refund within 30 days. But to insure that the color is what you expected, we can send you color samples. Email us your name, address, and the colors that you would like to see.

Do the colors have a shine to them?
Thirty of our 38 colors matte finishes.   Of the other six, only four have a slight sheen. Cocoa and Olive Green are both shiny.   I try to find colors that have the least shine to them.

What if I'm not able install my words and would like some help?

Am I charged extra for the author of the quote?
We feel that writers these quotes are special people and we always include them, if we know who they are, with our Standard quote at no extra charge. We will put the names in a complimentary font of the quote or the same as the quote if the font chosen is unique. The font will be 1/2 the size of the quote . There will be an extra charge for the authors on custom quotes..

What is the Etched Glass look?
The Etched glass look is a transparent material that can only be seen on windows or mirrors. Instead of expensive chemical etching or sandblasting it applies the same way the other colors do in just a few minutes and can be removed when you're ready for a change.

How do I clean around the quote?
Treat your Wall Words like you would letters that were hand painted. Carefully wipe with a clean cloth or use a squeegee.

How do I determine the height of the lettering?
You can view the height on our Custom Quote page. The tallest letter will dictate the size of the lower case and other smaller letters. If you use upper and lower case in a line, the measurement is from the top of the tallest letter to the bottom of the lowest letter. Most j's, p's, and y's extend below the line and will not be included in the overall measurement. We can reverse cut for placement on the inside of glass to be read or seen from the outside. If the font you want is not listed in the examples, place your order and then send us an email and tell us the font you want. We have hundreds of fonts but if we don't have yours we will contact you via email.

How do I determine the height of the Decorative End?
The Decorative Ends sizes are averaged because very few are as tall as they long. E2-4 & 7 are 3" long and 1.5" tall when you order the 2" ones. Any End that is longer than it is high will come one inch longer than the number you ordered. We find this keeps them in proportion to the quotes. If you order 3" quote you would order a 3" End. If you want an End that is as high as the lettering (Roses, leaves or hearts) they will be 2" x 2".
